Prayers for Mary - repost from today's NW

I do not even assume that everyone reads the NW, that is why I am posting this separate.

Not so good afternoon.  A nice day outside just turned crappy.  Mary has not been feeling well and went to the doctor today.  She will not be going to the OH Conference.  She is quarantined with Swine Flu.  We have no idea where she got it.  The doc has cleared me to go, saying I do not have it at this time.  He gave her medication for both of us.  Supposedly if I take it, I will not get the disease.

Mary is devistated.  She can have no visitors for 7 days.  Please pray for her.  Text her, if you like.  Help lift her spirits a little.

George I am so sorry to hear about Mary.  You better take your medicine.  We will miss her.  Tell her I am sending my best.

That BITES!!  Just talked to Loralea's daughter this morning...she's thinking she will be back at school tomorrow.  I'm glad it seems to move fast.  Keep Mary hydrated and otherwise healthy!!!

POOPIE Mr George!  I hate to hear that Mary has H1N1.  I was looking forward to finally meeting you guys! You take good care of her and get her better!  You need to stay healthy too! I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers.

You'll still get to see me.  She has told me in no uncertain terms that I am still going.  I can't believe she is turning me loose with all these good looking women going to be there.

Oh George...I'm so sorry for Miss Mary. I know she was really looking forward to being there and I was really looking forward to meeting you both.  Prayers already said and will continue.

That dang swine flu is getting so many; sorry Mary won't make it.  Tell her to stay hydrated and rest up.

Sorry to hear about your wife.  Just wanted to give you a heads up.  Nothing but a vaccine will prevent you from getting the swine flu.  I assume your doctor gave you both TamiFlu.  If so, it will shorten the duration of the disease if you get it and lessen your chance of getting it but WILL NOT prevent it.  The Centers for Disease Control says you are contagious with swine flu 1 day before you show any symptoms.  Be careful around and fresh post ops at the conference or anyone with a weakened immune system. We just had 3 family members with Swine Flu.  The doctor told the father of the children he recommended he stay home from work while they were ill because of how contagious it is (he worked in food service).  Oddly, he never got sick and he didn't take any TamiFlu becasue it wasn't covered by his insurance.  I guess he was just lucky!  I guess your doctor knows what you should and should not do but the last place I would think someone who has been exposed to the swine flu should be is at a confrence full of people.
